This villa, located at the outskirts of Athens, is designed as a playful volumetric juxtaposition. The total coverage of the house is significantly smaller than the surface permitted by the local building regulations, maximizing the garden and the pool area, facilities significant to the family’s everyday life.

The main synthesis consists of two adjacent rectangular volumes, arranged to create a T-shaped plan. The two volumes are separated by a 0,45m thick and 10m high fair faced concrete wall. The role of the wall element is not strictly morphological. Apart from defining the axis leading from the entrance to the back garden, it has an additional dual role. On one hand, it separates the common from the private spaces of the house and, on the other hand, it unites the different levels, having the staircase system articulated upon it.
The third rectangular volume, inserted into the building mass, is the meeting point for the family. This element cladded with wooden lattices, offers a wide range of views, towards both the living room area, the front garden and the pool area
